Livingroom by Mebelplast - Once Again on a Catwalk
The year 2008 has been rich in fashion shows where, apart from models presenting clothes, the sofas manufactured by the Polish Company Livingroom by Mebelplast were displayed as showpieces. After the successful exhibitions at the Paris Fashion Week and the grand opening of the Livingroom by Mebelplast store in the Blue City Shopping Centre we are ready to make the next step.
On 14th of June 2008 an open casting organized by the Fashion Magazine was held in Złote Tarasy Shopping Centre. Livingroom by Mebelplast was a benefactor of the event for the second time. Our cooperation with the Fashion Magazine represents Mebelplast brand promotion strategy aimed at underlining the quality of furniture as an important interior design element.
The visitors could not only admire the beautiful women but also the sofas and futuristically designed armchairs. Moreover, the quality of our furniture was recognized by the jury members, among them: Katarzyna Kultys-Jabłońska – Editor in Chief of the Fashion Magazine; Joanna Horodyńska –model/journalist/stylist, Magdalena Radomska – Editor in Chief of the Warsaw Press Agency, Aleksandra Więcka – Editor at TVP2, author of the book “Being a star. Fashion, beauty and style. Stylists advise”, Michał Piróg – dancer, choreographer,”You can dance” TV show jury member, and the models.
The showpieces displayed at the event:
Sonia – the futuristic armchairs and sofas dressed in white and red leathers;
Scala – extraordinary sofas finished with a soft velvet fabric with zebra pattern;
Big Ben – a module based model which can be arranged in various unique combinations. It is provided with an additional wooden component which can be used either as a corner element or a table. Big Ben was dressed in a delicate microphase fabric of ecru colour.

The castings organized in Złote Tarasy create great career opportunities for numerous young models, who dream of becoming international celebrities. This is their first step into “the world of fashion”. The next opportunity awaits them at the Oscars Fashion competition – one of the most prestigious artistic events in the Polish fashion world.
