Mebelplast

For over 20 years of our operation we have been successful in the demanding markets worldwide. We have been appreciated in both Europe – in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Benelux countries, and on the other side of the globe – in the USA, Canada and Japan; everywhere where the people value the unique climate, individual style and high quality. In the Polish market we have been present for 8 years only but our development there is very dynamic. The following calendar of events shows how we have reached current position.

1988 – Establishment of MEBELPLAST Sp. z o.o. (LLC) – a company with entirely Polish capital.

1990 – For the first time we presented our products at export oriented fair „Polskie Meble” [Polish Furniture] in Poznań and started exports to Germany and The Netherlands (employment ca. 15 people).

1992 – We purchased our first facility in Kieźliny and started production there. During that year we started the exports to the Benelux countries (employment ca. 120 people).

1994 - Instytut Wzornictwa Przemysłowego [Institute of Industrial Design] in Warsaw awarded us the “GOOD DESIGN” certificate for the furniture manufactured.

1995 – We started cooperation with the world largest catalogue sales house – OTTO VERSAND (share capital PLN 400,000, employment ca. 250 people).

1996 - MEBELPLAST was transformed into a Joint Stock Company. We were awarded the Golden Statuette of the “Leader of Polish Business” by the Business Center Club (BCC). We started our second own plant (employment ca. 450 people). The new export markets of the Company are Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, France and Slovenia.

1997 – We were awarded the First Diamond to the Gold Statuette of the BCC. Our exports developed dynamically and our furniture finds buyers in Denmark, the United Kingdom, the USA and Russia as well as the CIS countries. We were visited by Dr. Otto who presented us the diploma of a “Reliable Supplier”. We opened our first own furniture shop in Olsztyn, Poland.

1998 – The Second Diamond to the Golden Statuette of the BCC and the LAURELS of the TRUMP OF WARMIA AND MAZURY ’98 were the further awards for the Company. We started the process of implementing the quality management system according to the ES/PN-ISO 9001. Norway, Israel and Greece were new countries where our furniture could be purchased (share capital PLN 1,000,000);

1999 – We were awarded the title of DISTINGUISHED POLISH EXPORTER and the Third Diamond to the Golden Statuette of the BCC. Instytut Wzornictwa Przemysłowego [Institute of Industrial Design] in Warsaw awarded the “GOOD DESIGN” certificates for the further three models of our furniture.

2000 – The control audit by PRS and RW TÜV confirms compliance of the implemented Quality Management System with ES/PN-ISO 9001:1996. We were awarded the title of the DISTINGUISHED POLISH EXPORTER, the Fourth Diamond to the Golden Statuette of the BCC and the LAURELS of the TRUMP OF WARMIA AND MAZURY 2000. Incorporation of RESZEL MEBLE S.A. and increase of share capital to PLN 1,750,000 take place. We started exports to Saudi Arabia and opened a new furniture shop in Warsaw.

2001 – We were awarded the Fifth Diamond to the Golden Statuette of the BCC. We have registered the Company logo with the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland. We have opened further shops in Łódź, Gdańsk and the second one in Warsaw (employment ca. 550 people).

2002 - The Sixth Diamond to the Golden Statuette of the BCC. We have opened a furniture shop in Poznań and registered two designs of furniture as registered designs with the Patent Office. On December 9, at 10:03 p.m. a fire broke out in the production plant in Kieźliny and destroys the plant entirely. But we do not give up and on December 13 at 6:00 a.m. we restart production (in a substitute premises)!

 
2003 - February – The Management Board took the decision on plant extension. In June the investment project began with placing the Cornerstone for the facility at Lubelska Street in Olsztyn. We opened the new furniture shop in Wrocław. In November we started working in the main production hall and in December in the modernized old premises. We were awarded the Seventh Diamond to the Golden Statuette of the BCC.

2004 – In February we started work in the sewing hall, cutting hall and the fabrics’ warehouse. As of July we have been operating the office facilities. In August the network of our shops was expanded with facilities in Olsztyn, Katowice and Wrocław. The official completion of the investment project. We are awarded the Eighth Diamond to the Golden Statuette of the BCC.

2005 – The Company Management Board decided to implement a new strategy concerning the Company shops. They gain new attractive design and the name „Livingroom by Mebelplast”, which gives them a coherent character. Opening of shops in Szczecin, Janki near Warsaw and another one in Olsztyn. In June we were awarded The Ninth Diamond to the Golden Statuette of the BCC.

2006 – Progress in expanding the network of shops results in increased sales. We opened further shops in Targówek district of Warsaw, in Bielany Wrocławskie and in Toruń. We were awarded the Tenth Diamond to the Golden Statuette of the BCC.

2007 – Our furniture is appreciated by experts and Clients. The Sofa Lounge is awarded the Piece of the Year 2007 title at MEBELEXPO exhibition in Katowice while the BIG BEN is awarded the Diamond of Furniture Industry at the competition of furniture manufacturers organized by the portal meble.pl. New shops have been opened in Gdańsk – Matarnia and in Swarzędz.
